Pet shops the new gold shops?
« on: October 29, 2017, 07:01:04 AM »
What is it with pet shops at the moment? Around 10/12  years ago every other shop was an estate agents.  A few years ago it was gold shops. Now nearly every other new shop is either a pet shop or a supermarket.  In the area around Calis market alone there are at least 4 pet shops  with a brand new pet supermarket opening in the next few weeks opposite guess what? Yes another pet shop!  Just don''t get it  ???

Turkonomics ! It's the same with restaurants.

"Hey Mehmet, I've had a great idea !"

"What Abe ?"

"There are 20 restaurants on this street. I think we should open a restaurant ! "

It's because they have realised that The Brits are pet mad... Maybe the animal charities are inadvertently responsible for the upturn?

I suppose it'll only be the Charity Shops that'll benefit from your custom then ?  ;)

Is it cheaper to buy pet food at the pet shops or in kippa/supermarkets?  We recently donated food to animal aid brought from azda, but thought afterwards we may of got more for our money  at the pet shop. Brand doesn't matter.

Generally its cheaper at the pet shops.
The exception to this is when Migros have their 25% sale.
On the Uzumlu road on the right past the jandarma before turning into the village there is Pinars pet shop.
A 15kg bag of her own 'selected' dog food is just 50tl.
Cat food is 60tl.
I believe a % of proceeds goes to an animal charity.
