Title: turkish restaurant
Post by: lolly on January 27, 2005, 11:23:02 AM
Hi everybody I'm lolly, joined a few days ago and this is my first post so please bear with me!
We are a couple from Wakefield and have been visiting Calis since 1997, staying with our friends Talip and Nesrin at Ten Aparts.
We have just booked to fly out again in June to celebrate hubby's big 40!! but we are having withdrawalls. Does anyone know of a turkish restaurant in the Leeds area? There is only so much turkish food (cooked by me) that Dean will endure. Plus our supply of raki is running desperately low any ideas where we can buy some more before June?
Cheers for being patient!
Lolly x

Hi lollly
Welcome to the forum.
I'm sure there's a thread on here somwhere regarding Turkish restaurants in UK.
If you use the search facility you should find it.  Whether or not it's near Leeds is another matter though.
Good luck :D

Lolly,

York is much nearer than Manchester and I can recommend the Kapadokyia in Rougier Street. We've had about 5 meals there in the past 12 months and the food is exceptional.

E-mail me if you want directions - it should only take you abot 25 mins from Seacroft Roundabout.

Hi Norma & Steve,
yes it's great, we go there fairly regularly and it's always first class. It's right in the middle of the city so plenty of bars etc.. nearby.

We have a Mr Fish within five minutes walk which is run by two charming Turkish fellows who could easily be nominated for the League of Gentlemen if they were in Calis. One of the chaps has a house in Bodrum.

Does this count :)
