Clickhosting.co.uk - What can I say?
« on: May 22, 2004, 01:27:53 AM »
A million apologies for the abysmal level of service you (we) have all had to endure in the last few weeks.

This is now 100% sorted, I promise  :) (famous last words)

The new server - on www.clickhosting.co.uk servers guaranteed 99.9% uptime, and every user here will know how close to that we actually got.

The support that was promised did not materialise in any usable way - I have a support request which I sent at 10:43am on Wednesday 20th still sitting ignored now.

So thanks to everyone for bearing with us, thanks to Terry for her help, and thanks to webstrike solutions (our new host) for helping to get things straight. Webstrike are very good hosts - they were our original host so we know how reliable they are.

It is very difficult to find out if the promises these hosts offer are actually going to be delivered. I thought it may be a good idea if people replied here to give their own experiences of the time calis-beach.co.uk spent on clickhosting.

We are heavily trawled by the search engines, so anyone unfortunate enough to consider clickhosting will be able to search their name, and find this thread.

Here's to a trouble free existance on the Webstrike servers.

Thank God for that, I dont think a day went by when the forum was not down for a period of time when we were on clickhosting more like 9.9% uptime than 99.9%.

Well done for sorting it out, thanks Terry and Scunner.

Well done Scunner.
Been a nightmare the last few weeks, especially in the evenings.
Hopefully all will be well now and I can get my daily fix no problem!

Thanks Scunner

I got back from Calis and when I went to catch up on all the news I couldn't. When we left to go away it was playing up as well. I think I have been logged on for days because I could never get connected to log off.

I was logged on before I went to Calis on 7 May and found I was still on 15th May. Can I claim the record for being logged on for the longest period and posting nothing [?] :D

Sorry forgot - Well done Scunner & Co I know you were working hard to get us back chatting - many thanks.

clickhosting?
The UK daytime performance on this site, as "hosted" by them, over the last week has been less than 50% access for my attempts to use it.
