Hello fellow Turkey lovers. 8)We are Anne & Billy from Glasgow and are hoping to buy a house in Turkey some time this summer.:D
We've been to Turkey twice,(Olu Deniz and Gumbet),and immediately fell in love with the country and the people.
We're hoping to use the property for holidays for ourselves and our 14 year old daughter and hopefully will be able to rent it out when not in use to provide us with another income.
Looking for any hints and tips please. ;)

Welcome Anne & Billy
We fell in love with Turkey our 1st time we went to Marmaris. Loved Icmeler but Marmaris was a bit crowded for my liking.
We went out to Calis last year and came home with a house. So this year we are using it for our hols ( 5 weeks hols ) and hoping to rent it out. Have you been to Calis/Fethiye. It really is beautiful. We had the day at Olu Deniz, i was a bit disappointed with it, but apparently we went the wrong side, so will give it another try.
Try and take a look at our area this year.If your thinking of buying, loads of tips and info. on this site.

Regards
Patty

Patty how could you possibly have been disappointed wiht Olu Deniz?? :o
It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. 8) Be sure to go back!
Having trolled the net for months now Billy and I are probably going to buy around the Calis Beach area (although we've never actually visited yet) but it does seem to be exactly what we've got in mind.
How close is it to Fethyie, Olu Deniz and Hisonaru etc?

Anne & Billy, Calis is really close, on the dolmus, 10 mins to Fethiye, 20 to Hisaronu and 30 to Olu. Also we can get to Gocek which is brilliant, Dalyan, Kaya, Saklikent and Pratra, Kalkan & Kas are easily a day trip away.
