Hi, everyone, I,ve just found this forum and joined.
I am Roger (55) my wife is Eileen(55) and we live in Hull, Yorkshire.
We visited Turkey for first time last year(Kalkan) and loved it.
We are going back to Kalkan in June this year for 2 weeks hols.
Am also looking to return in September, and although we like Kalkan, fancy looking further afield. Calis beach is one area that appeals, but I am having difficulty finding any info on hotels.
Can anyone recommend clean, tidy and friendly hotels not too far away from town centre?, or is this forum primarily for people looking to buy property in this area?
Roger

Hi Roger & Eileen
Welcome to the site.
Everybody is welcome here, not just potential buyers, although it`s primarily about Calis, it contains a hive of information on various Turkey related subjects.

Roger,

The hotel Ernur is a good choice and at just £8 per night which include your breakfast you can't go wrong, further details on the hotels link suggested above.

Hi Roger and Eileen
Just to echo whats already been said. Word of warning though, this site like Calis itself can become a bit of an addiction!lol Seriously though if you need help or advice this is the place. It was through finding this forum that we ended up buying our own place in Calis.

Hi Roger and Eileen
Welcome to the site.
You really will like Calis. No strenuous hill climbing - just like Hull!
In the 60's we used to cycle from Anlaby Common to Aldborough for a day by the sea. Through town and out along the Holderness road, then turn off towards Sproatley and on to Aldborough. It was absolutely dead flat up to Sproatley. I seem to recall a Pub near the Holderness Road junction where we would stop for a beer on the way back. Can't remember the name though - something to do with Bilton I think.
Pauline and I are moving lock stock and barrel to take early retirement in Calis, we like the place so much. We just can't wait to be there soon enough.
Hope you have a good holiday there, maybe we will see you - who knows?
Regards
farmer
