Hello
My name is Jayne and my husband is Lyn, we have recently bought a property in Ovacik near Roly and Barbara (in fact we are neighbours). We are interested in driving to Turkey in May but are having problems finding information on the best route and ferry prices in Venice. If any one has done this trip or can help it would be much appreciated.

Why has nobody welcomed Jayne Dare?

Hi Jayne, welcome to the forums. Hopefully you will find people who have done the trip who can advise.

Scunner

I have seen some information about driving down to Turkey, somewhere, will see if I can find it and get back to you.

I couldnt find it, but found this  - it says there is no direct ferry service between Venice and Turkey, but there are different options.

Jayne,

I'm not sure if you can still get a ferry direct from Venice to Izmir. However, there is a service that runs between Bari to Salonika and then on to Izmir. A quick search on google brought up lots of links.

Welcome Jayne and Lyn, will you be driving down for a holiday or are you moving there for good?  Good luck with your plans.
