Cheese Cake or "Ovacik Mess"

Have been using this recipe for a while now thought it might be a good idea to share for those that haven’t tried this simple and versatile way. Sorry but we don’t measure or weigh. Easy to make the flavour you want just add fresh fruit, compote, or juice etc. So many ways, like flavour mixed in or just on top. Base can be the usual digestive and butter. So easy so quick!

Or just make the “Ovacik Mess” No gelatin required for cake or Mess if you want it less thick just add a little normal yogurt.

Three main ingredients:-

Lemon Juice.
Sutas, Suzme Cheese.
Sutas, Suzme Yogurt.


Mix very well about 2/3 Suzme Yogurt and 1/3 Suzme Cheese then lemon juice. Normal 8” tin about ½ lemons juice. Adjust to taste. We sweeten if required with granulated sweetener or honey. Then just add your choice of flavour.

Ovacik Mess. Same ingredients and flavour then when ready to serve add chopped Baklava or Digestives or Walnuts Muesli so many crisp things to add then just stir in at last minute and serve.

Tahin and Pekmez mix one favorite flavoring.
