We used to sit at the waters edge listening to the music  on Radio Caroline and when the DJ s asked us to shine our car lights we sat there with our cars on full beam, shining out to the North Sea, brilliant times. Welcome little David Hamilton, we loved you.

Used to listen to Radio Caroline at night when I was supposed to be sleeping, the reception was fairly bad, but it made us all feel very grown up and illicit, happy memories.  Then we went on to Radio London, better reception, but the same cheesy d.j's more happy memories.

Funny enough i work on the waters around Essex and the Radio Caroline vessel the Ross Revenge is now anchored in the River Blackwater Near Maldon Essex.
