can anyone recomend anywhere to go for eye test as i need one for new glasses the shops do not do them until the tourist season starts

You could try Kartelmed (Eye Hospital) on the Patlangic Road. Its on the left hand side going from the Mugla roundabout by the Otogar - Antalya Road.

If you have residency it costs approx 60 tl. With Bagkur or SGK 19tl. Very modern equipment very thorough examination.
