Just take your medicines to the chemist directly opposite Migros in town (near where the Calis water taxi docks). He is fantastic, speaks brilliant English, and will 'translate' all your pills into Turkish. Seriously nothing to worry yourself about, I promise!

We have been buying blood pressure medication in Turkey for the last 12 years. We always take the written info that is in the pill packet and we have never had a problem.

Everything is over the counter in Turkey, so you don't need a prescription..

Slik takes prescription meds. We went to register with a doctor in Ovacik and to find out the price of prescription. He sent us to the chemist. The pharmacist was so helpful and the medication is less money than we would pay for a prescription in the UK.

Some drugs are only available with a doctors prescription, not just available over the counter. A chemist here could advise you if your particular drugs are available without prescription, but If not,you would need to see a doctor here. The chemist opposite Migros in town, Eroglu,as suggested, could certainly advise you, he is very helpful and very pleasant.
