Exchange rate mystery.
« on: August 30, 2015, 17:45:19 PM »
I noted on another Forum today someone saying the exchange rate in Oludeniz had dropped today to 4.35.  I have looked online and it seems to be around 4.45.   Wonder what is going on in Olu ??

I know someone who got 4.35 in Calis today. Exchange rate has dropped to 4.50 so tourist rates have dropped also.

xe.com will give you the current and historical spot exchange rate,  which is what tourist rates will be based on.

If they are changing money in a 'change shop' they will get a lower rate than at a bank.

Had a text from my uncle yesterday who is coming to visit in a week or so - he said he was only being offered 3.9 in the UK.
I've told him to bring the bare minimum with him and change his pounds over here.
I know it's always better to do so but that seems a huge difference!
