A few of the local markets have been selling it this summer, although I am not sure if they will still be stocking it at this time of year. The small market near the Carmina hotel certainly had it a few weeks ago.

Aaaah, the auld 'Steel Foreheid', as we used to say as kids. Missed it as well when we lived in Turkey, but now I can bathe in it if I so desire!!

BM06, HOW VERY DARE YOU, read on;  Irn-Bru was first produced in 1901, in the town of Falkirk, under the name Strachan's brew. In 1946, a change in laws required that the word "brew" be removed from the name, as the drink is not technically brewed.

Tizer is a red soft drink from Scotland. The name originally comes from the phrase 'Tizer the Appetizer'. It was launched in 1924 by Fred Pickup of Manchester when it was known as 'Pickup's Appetizer'. After the death of Pickup it was owned by the Armour Trust before being sold to A.G. Barr plc (the makers of Irn-Bru) for £2.5 million in 1972.

Totally DIFFERENT animal altogether, I am sorry to tell you, my friend!!

Hi Loz, When I was a youngster I spent many a day sitting on the bank with my dad fishing, as I was at such a tender age and though lacked fishing experience, I tended not to catch much, but as I have got a little older I have gained a little bit more time and patience and I have landed a big catch today ;) love to Gordon hope he has calmed down :D just can not believe he fell for it.:D:D ;)COYIs

Thanks everyone, my guests tracked Irn Bru down in Hisaronu. They found it in a shop next to Spar. No idea where that is, but who cares, they are well happy!
