Onur jewellers

Amazing !
Arrived quite late Sat night and went straight into the lovely man at Onur Jewellry (where we usually change our cash).  My OH gave him £200 to change at a rate of 2.86.
Being quite late and ready for a drink, he counted the lira again outside the shop and we carried on walking.  Only yesterday, 16hours later, did the penny drop that he had been given 286 tl instead of 572 for £200!!!

My husband took a walk back to the shop to explain the error - Apart from a few shakes of the head and checking his till, the guy actually then gave my OH the remaining 286 tl ......and with a smile and apology that he must have made a mistake although he couldn't yet see it in his books.
We know for certain it was £200 but to be fair to the guy, he couldn't be sure of that at the time but he was willing to take his word for it.

Can you imagine the outcome in the UK. We would be £100 light now!
Thank you Mr "Onur"
