This lovely garden in Calis is calling me back.... After all the terrible weather in Scotland I am really missing it.   :'(

Your comments make me realise how lucky I am to be living my dream out here.Next time I feel like having a moan about anything remotely Turkish I will stop myself and remember the unfortunate people who have to make do with only their annual holidays here in Çalış.

Me too. I look out my window to the sea and Slains Castle. I can watch the Shetland Ferry pass every evening and I can see 30 miles away to Bennachie (our local mountain).  I can watch the deer in the garden and feed "Ginger" our pheasant who has started bringing his wife to see us too.  I am just off out to give Hugo, the horse, a carrot.   I don't want to leave Scotland permanently.  I just want to spend more time at my other home where the weather is always so much better and always gives us a great " feel good effect"
Think everyone needs a boost now and again, and when the weather is miserable, even in the most beautiful part of the world, it really does make you long for somewhere hot and sunny.  So a few months in Turkey when the old fella retires will suit me so well.

Did not mean to upset anyone with my post maybe I shouldnt have written 'unfortunate' but didnt think anyone would take umbrage with my sentiments.
