Health Insurance for the residency permit
« on: September 01, 2015, 15:20:26 PM »
Can anyone tell me where I might purchase cheap health insurance just to tick the box for my residency application. Doesn't need to be anything special, just the necessary requirement for residency.  Thanks

I have mine with Anadolu Sigorta. It was arranged by Çağrı who has his office above the perfume shop in Fethiye.Works out cheaper than the SGK for a single person.

But do you get the same benefits? You get what you pay for.

Yes fully covered for out and in patient treatment.Last op I had for a hernia repair at the Esnaf was paid by insurance100%.If I'd had SGK I would have had to pay a percentage as didnt chose the state hospital.

I also get free prescriptions through SGK which saves me a lot of money.  That makes the cover for everything else that much cheaper in real terms.

Me too Eric, I was paying 150tl a month for medication, thats half the premium. And now Johns dental treatment is also covered.
I think it's a great scheme, for couples, but a lot of money for single people.

I went to about 10 offices in May. The cheapest that I was offered was from the insurance company based in the big building, with the vets on the ground floor in front of the biggest migros, sorry about description but can't remember name. The second cheapest was from insurance office next to  McDonalds.

I believe the one above Kent vets have moved to opposite the new shopping centre. If someone wants insurance just to tick a box do the benefits matter too much?
