Title: Sky Sports Paragliding
Post by: Ian on August 11, 2014, 12:33:23 PM
Hi - my son wants to do this and asked me how much it would cost including transfer from Calis and a video etc.

He is very specific about this company.

Anyone had any recent experiences?

Ian

Ps  If he left it to me I would likely book with "we don't lose that many.com" to save a few bob :-)

I read on T.A. last month that Sky Sports charge 250 TL for a tandem flight.   They then sell you the video separately.  The video price varies and can cost as much as the flight.  Apparently, you have to haggle the price down.
Also tell you son to get Hazardous Sports Insurance along with his normal Travel Insurance  before he leaving the U.K. so that he is covered.
Sky Sports always get the best feedback as the safest company (not the cheapest) to go with.  ;D  ;)

We have flown several times with Sky Sport.  They are the only company we would ever go with.  Genuine insurance, not last years certificate photocopied, and they replace their equipment every year.  Not the cheapest but, in my opinion, they are the safest.

Eric, the insurance they offer is for Turkey.  So, if you need a flight home because you missed yours due to an accident you pay for it yourself. If you need an extra seat because of a broken limb the bill is yours and if you need a medi-vac home look at £35,000 and upwards.  So, best to get insurance in the U.K.

I am not disagreeing with you Jacqui, what I am saying is they hold genuine accident insurance as they are required to do.

hi ian transfers were free then from calis. you could go to watch him by going on the bus that goes up there. think it's better to watch on the beach. you could video him coming down.if you ask mike from sky sports might be possiblle for you to talk to your son as he is descending.
