Watching Brainiac on TV, it appeared to be fantastic viewing for 9 year olds as they dropped a full milk float from a crane, smashing it to bits.

"I bet you don't even know what a milk float is", said I.

"Yes we do, it was for delivering milk in the olden days"

25 years ago, when I was 30, I was telling the hairdresser that I once had bad highlighing done that left me looking like Jimmy Saville.  She didn't know who I was talking about!!!!!  That was the beginning of me feeling old.  Soon after that I noticed how young policemen and teachers were getting.

I told the apprentice hairdresser who washed my hair that she looked like Kiki Dee.. She asked me who that was and I told her that Kiki made the No.1 record with Elton John "Don't go breaking my Heart" never heard of that either she told me.
I then told the girl who does my nails that I had been to see "Hair" in New York... What's Hair? she said.
I am now really feeling old.
Jacqui.

I was an engineering maintenance foreman at ICI.Got made redundant when Thatcher killed off engineering. Not many jobs about so a friend got me an interview with Britannic Insurance as he worked for them. All went well until they asked my age, then apologised and said I was too old (to collect premiums and sell policies door to door).I was 37.!!
