Lucas was held prisoner by the Russians for a long time and then came back to Britian, and then after a lot of soul searching by Harry, that Lucas may have been corrupted by the Russians, he was allowed to just the Spooks, but now with this new mystery that Lucas may not be all he seems, no one knows yet what is going on.
My husband loves Spooks, but my only worry is, they always seem to kill of the characters that I get to like, they have no mercy, which means that I can never relax and am always on my nerves thinking who will go next?  I really like Lucas, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for him for the next series.

Lucas looks more vulnerable now he's back with his partner.Always an achilles heel.
