Water Meter problem
« on: April 20, 2011, 20:35:23 PM »
According to our water meter we are using at least 80 pounds worth of water a month. That is enough for about seven people and I am sure there is a fault somewhere. There are only two of us and we do not use much water but I do have a small dishwasher on once every one or two days.
We have done tests the water board suggested and everything seems to be working ok and no leaks but I wondered if the meter was not set up properly. Has anyone else had problems with a meter?

Water Meter problem

We had this problem a few years back....had a bill for 1500.00GBP.We bought a new meter which water board fitted, and negotiated the bill down to about 300.00 GBP. Not ideal, but definately better than the original bill.
Sorry ....just realised you are in the U.K. Try contacting your water supplier, and if you get no joy there is always the ombudsman.
