Personally I am not so sure. Apparently the word on the Calis rumour mill is not only that aspartame is poisonous, but also that it is what killed Scunner - due to him mixing diet soda with JD.

:oWhat a terrible thing to come out with Colwyn, you should know better.

Scunner avoids anything with the word diet in it. :P: :):D

Aspartame was originally developed by the US DOD as a nerve agent! When it was found to be not as effective as they had hoped it was allowed into foods et al. It is an amazingly sweet substance! I for one don't go near anything artificial. Is one of the reasons that food in Turkey is so good because there's very little prepackaged food available so it's all made from fresh ingredients.

Everything in moderation including sweetners some are better than others. natural sugar can be a killer too but again only in excessive quantities. Us diabetics have to make an informed choice.

Hope you don't work for, or have shares in, a company that makes diet soda; it is under attack again. This time because "diet soda makes you fat".
