I used to be Shuttle Pilot but there were at least a dozen of us using that handle in the South East.

CB has made me many friends all over the world, all of mine done from a mobile, qsl cards from every continent & many countries, rarest was from China (CB was very much illegal then) & a nice contact from Prince Edward Island off the Canadian coast. I used to speak to my old home country of Jamaica each week, a really nice guy called Shoeshine Boy!

I had a wonderful holiday in the USA in 1984 visiting 3 of my regular contacts, 1 in Reading, Pennsylvania & the other 2 in North Carolina. I still use CB in the cab now, we sit on ch1 & chit chat amongst ourselves during the quiet spells, ie. all day lol.

I was 'Captain Go' It was very popular by us in the late 70's. I was in our local CB club and we used to do rallies and meet ups etc. I feel old now thinking about it, not used one for about 30 years.

Dave was Barsteward, because he was a bar steward.

A friend of ours was known as 'Pickle Fork'.  She is 4ft 10 and married to someone like Grant Mitchell.  I asked her why "Pickle Fork" and she told me that her husband went out boozing against her wishes, and came home late, as he walked in, she attacked him with a pickle fork.  He disarmed her.

Later, they went to bed, and she produced another pickle fork from under the pillow, and got him!!!!!
