I was prompted to ask this question by Highlander's thread about 2012 Olympic posters - many of which I found rather good, but which he derided. Just as well that people's tastes differ I guess. So I thought it might be interesting to ask CBFers what they currently have on their walls in terms of artwork.
I'll start. All of ours are prints I'm afraid; were they real I would be a billionaire. We have four by Picasso, four by van Goch, two Gaugin's, one Jackson Pollack, a Modlgliani, a Kadinsky, several small Cornish abstracts by artists we can't remember, one of those aerial photographs by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, and a whole pile of stuff in the loft that I haven't got round to hanging yet. What are my favourites? On some days it is one of Picasso's many
Woman in a Chair; on others it is Hilary's definite favourite Kadinski's
Mit und Gegen - that I translate as For and Against, and which, for me, evokes two fighting ships from very different navies.
