Which mobile phone company?

I use Tesco mobile Nichola, you can purchase weekly or monthly bundles of texts, internet or calls online very reasonably too.
They're the only network that don't take away your credit after so many months,so when you go back to the uk in another 3 yea years any credit you have will still be there!

The only problem with Tesco is their call rates are really expensive when the "triple your credit" offer expires at the end of the month. 25p/min.

But you are right Linda - the credit never expires. Steph's phone is on Tesco as she only uses it to phone me really and I get all inclusive minutes so she rings me and hangs up, and I call her back. I think I had to add £10 credit in 2009. No joke either!

Or go o2 PAYG and for a tenner you can get free calls to UK landlines and other o2 users - as long as you specify a postcode and then make sure you are calling from it. They also have a great pay monthly contract (no ties) that offers 500meg of data, 800 mins and lots of texts. I was offered it today when I took Maggie's new iphone in for a micro sim. Seems a good deal.

Very useful info Stoop.  I'm with O2 Pay As You Go, will check it out later today.

Stoop, had a look but can't find anything on Pay & Go where you pay £10 and get free calls to landlines and o2 users.  Do you have a link please.

Not complicated (for men anyway ;-) )

No seriously - you just specify the postcode that you will be making call from and whenever you are in that postcode area you get free calls to UK landlines and other o2 phones.

You need to sign into your o2 account on line and then click on 'my mobile'. Once in there then click on 'change my tariff' and the one you want to look at is 'Favourite Place'.
