That's really quite scary Highlander!  It's getting to the point where we won't have a clue what season it is, or certainly won't be able to tell by the weather!

My youngest daughter, who lives in London, has been complaining they haven't had a single snowflake there and eldest daughter who lives not too far from us on the outskirts of Halifax was actually cut off last weekend with all the snow we had Friday/Saturday last week.  :o

Tell me about it Marina.  I live the same area and I've only managed to get my car out today. My daughter had to abandon hers up Luddenden Lane. Would you agree that although it's not been as long lasting as 1962/1963 (yet!), it's certainly been the worst we've had since then?!

Mrs Bouquet - it's certainly the worst in this area for a long time.  I know they've talked about it being the worst snow in March since 1979 and I can certainly remember eldest daughter's 1st birthday that month being snowed in with over a foot of snow on the roads and drifting in exposed areas.  Thankfully it does seem to be thawing slowly now and hopefully can get over to see them, and my little grandson    :),on Easter Sunday because we certainly couldn't have got there last week.  :(.  Amazing when you think this time lastyear we were sat outside in lovely warm sunshine (bit like in Calis  ;D).

Yes Marina. My daughter was born 30th March 1979 and so of course I remember that particular snow well too. This has the first year in many that I've had snow drifts up my doors and windows and as you say, so warm last year. It's on a very slow thaw just here though my icicles are pretty impressive!  I'm sure you'll get to see your little Grandson by Sunday and I hope you do.....I assume you're taking an egg!!  ;D
