Boutique Hotels are not growing on me
« on: May 15, 2013, 21:19:36 PM »

We went budget on our recent visit to Perth so much so that when I told scunner we were staying at the station he immediately asked “what platform”.

But that aside, I have too questions for you:

1.   What makes a Hotel boutique and

2.   What in heaven’s name is that growing on the radiator leg

1. I wish I knew, I heard the term first in around 2006 and had no idea then either.

2. Stop complaining about the Station Hotel, you were warned :D

In my recent experience, boutique hotels have decor that is over the top and prices which are even more over the top.

I would agree with both of those definitions amca neither of which apply to The Station Hotel  Perth.

I don't know where they took the photos for their website but it wasn't the hotel we stayed at.

PS We have indeed been warned and have stayed there before.

Not wishing to upstage you John, but I'm waiting on a reply from Travelodge's Head office to answer to these photos!!!. We always strip the beds when departing from any hotel and to our horror, this is what I found on duvet and pillows. Yuk!
