What a wonderful thought - we will be waking up for Christmas breakfast on the Amstel Botel in Amsterdam - can't wait  ;D
Family visited the week before - Christmas cards read and saved for recycling - no decorations or tree.
BAH HUMBUG !!!!! (our eighth year out of UK at Christmas - BLISS   :)  :)  :)

I read that as "Anyone want a fight"

And because you mentioned Christmas in October the answer is a definite YES

There is too much emphasis on Christmas, starting in September,  the many people who do not have a happy family to visit, the many people who do not have a vast selection of friends calling round, they must feel this is the worst time of the year to deal with the pressures of enjoying the" festive season" The very basic idea of Happy Families gathered round the Christmas tree must be very sad for 50% of the population.  Specially feeling it this year as after moving, it will be me and my son on our own, mother too old to visit, friends too far away to make a visit worthwhile without a drink. Hope there will be some other sad people on CBF at Christmas.

Ooohh Marggie, you have made slik  very happy, he loves sprouts, I didnt  think  you could get them.

This will be our last xmas in the uk.  I intend to make the most of it this year visiting family and friends. Only went away once for xmas to sharm and it was lit up like Blackpool.

Slik,s adamant we won,t be returning for future xmas,s I,m not so sure.
