I have no doubts about our recent move, even though its only 20 miles away from "home" so I do hope the people who plan to start a new life thousands of miles from family and friends are 100% committed to their new start, wish I had the courage to do the same,

We have been away for New Year, but I would hate to be away from home at Christmas.  I always feel it's a lovely time for the family.
Incidentally, the snowman add for Christmas was from a web company telling me to hurry and buy my Christmas Presents.

As our youngest daughter and her husband fly out to New Zealand on 21st December to start their new life out there this Christmas will be quite difficult for us.  We've always had big family get togethers on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day and can't imagine all of us not being together, but I guess it's something I'm going to have to get used to.   :(

But I know there are people a lot worse off than us, some who don't have any family to visit, so we're luckier than them in that we still have eldest daughter, her husband our gorgeous 2 year old grandson and other family members to share it with.    :)
