Pablo Picasso - Artistic Genius or..........................
« on: October 25, 2014, 16:50:02 PM »
After 5 years of renovations costing several million Euros the Picasso museum has re-opened.

I just can't understand his "art" and why people rave about it.

Can you ?

We went round the Picasso museum in Malga and have to say they started off o.k. but as you viewed the later pictures they got really weird.

We have many Picasso prints hanging in our house. I think they are wonderful. I realize they are very outdated now, not avant garde at all - but I don't care.

My favourite Picasso painting is unfortunately not available as a print - I think due to copyright issues. It is called First Steps and features a mother caringly guiding the first hesitant steps of her infant. I think it is beautifully evocative of that special moment with mother engrossed in the child whilst the child totters excitedly but nervously forward.

It's OK Bluwise it is not compulsory to get it. I don't get why people spend thousands of pounds per year watching football matches, buying football shirts, getting Sky Sports, and all of that. The only benefit seems to be that it entitles them to go down the pub and all through the week bore the socks off everyone except the other two soccer addicts by banging on about referees being rubbish, their manager being rubbish, the players being rubbish, the pitch being tatty and the pies being a rip-off. Still, they seem to enjoy it, that's OK, I just wish they wouldn't go on about it so much.
