BT hasve just told me that they intend to charge me £31 per month for my 1 megabyte connection, apparantly my BT telephone is too far away from the exchange to get a speed higher than 1 meg.
I also have a cable telephone supplied by Telewest.
I think that BT are ripping me off and I intend to seek a better deal elsewhere, problem is that most service providers seem to request that you have a BT line and if so, am I destined never to get connected at higher speeds?
