Does anyone know what happened to the poor foal?  I've been told the authorities have been informed but no one seems to know the outcome.  As someone who owned a Donkey for 20 years this breaks my heart knowing how loving and loyal they are.  I have to say I fear the worst

Shandy. I 've been making enquiries following your latest post.  All the necessary authorities have been informed according to a Turkish acquaintance of mine. and also that a vet was present when the authorities were called out. Sadly there is no news on the foal which doesn't bode well.  Will let you know when I hear anything further.

I got the same information today.  I'm still not convinced that this will put an end to this sorry business though.

I wonder, has the foal been taken away or are they keeping it?  If they are selling the milk, there will be not a lot left for the foal.
We love Kargi, but will not be visiting now.  However, it will make little difference unless someone can get this news to all the Turks that use the place, we see very little Brits there and it is always packed.

Is it worth stating on trip advisor  (as someone has) for this place the animal cruelty? Surely that will do something to affect there business, never been here myself but will look out for it when next in calis.

Will do no good Pompeylee,  The Turks pack the place out, they don't feel the same as us about animals. So, the business will not be effected at all.  We are usually the only Brits there when we visit and we always visit with a Turkish friend.
It is also not in Calis, so no point in lookng out for it. It is out at Kargi, about 15 minutes drive into the country from Calis and the Mayor of Kargi owns the place.
