we have just returned from a trip to istanbul.
We decided to take a different route and go by train.We travelled first by coach from fethiye to Denizili,which was 4 hours and then boarded the 5pm train overnight sleeper carriage to Istanbul.
The train was very clean and quite comfortable but took a very long time,infact the train was 4 hours late but we dont mind its turkey after all.
arrived at hydrapasa station and took ferry to eminonou and then a taxi to hotel based in the sultan ahmet district.

We recommend anybody no to eat at any restaurant under the galata bridge total rip off the menu states one price but waiters recommend the fish and charge per kilo we expected that.
But when he says 100ytl for 4 person we didnt expect 100ytl per kilo
So for all of you who want to visit Istanbul,go its a great place
but buy a map and try going by train its quite an adventure.
