On my last trip (May 08) we saw two pelicans sitting on a very small fishing boat right up close in Fethiye harbour. They were preening themselves and certainly not shy. The next day when we were crossing over to Calis on the boat taxi we saw another small fishing boat trying to pull in a giant ray fish. It was so wide that it was wider than the boat. And earlier in the week we saw a big lizard in Kaya about 15 inches tall when sitting. I only wished I had my camera with me. Strange how you never see these things when you do have a camera!
