I am having a number of problems with the forum today including problems with the page loading and strange popup error type messages - anyone else getting this
Keith, whilst it could be linked to my PC it may be the google adverts as the banners seem to have a problem loading. More worrying though is a grey error type box that appears that says something like 'This page should have a link to coinmill.com'

Sounds like a local browser issue - have you recently updated your Java engine or browser?

Not experienced any problems yet today, but yesterday had a couple of strange 'cut-outs' & then messages telling me someone was trying to download? Re-booted & all ok, I think.....

Keith, have you added a currency conversion link on the site anywhere
JohnF, this is not linked to any JAVA update and my browser is fine - thanks for the ideas though

Found it!!
Keith, the problem is with some code on the site. Looks like some browser settings do not like the way it is called:
<div align="center"><script type="text/javascript" src="http://coinmill.com/frame.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">var currency_round=true;</script>
<font face="Arial" size="2">
Todays exchange rate: <img src="images/gbp.gif" width="25" height="16" alt="British Pounds" /> 1.00GBP =
<script type="text/javascript">currency_show_conversion(1.00,"GBP","TRY");</script>
YTL <img src="images/turkFlag.jpg" width="25" height="16" alt="Turkish Lira" />
<small>Data From: <a href="http://coinmill.com/">coinmill.com</a></small></font></div>

Funnily enough Steve, I suspect it *is* to do with settings on the local browser being changed - especially if you haven't had a problem before. The coinmill Mod calls a javascript which 99.9% of browsers handle perfectly well - but sometimes, just sometimes, it falls over when the browser doesn't handle the call correctly.
I wrote this particular mod some time ago and it has been running on this, and two other busy forums, for over a year now; this is the first time there has been an issue that anyone has highlighted. I'll insert a detection script that will cancel the javasript before the browser falls over and send to you to add shortly.
