i think you will find that most vets will clip your pets, Lara vets on the canal road in Fetiye clip my friends dog, and i have had dogs clipped at Kent vets, hope that helps.

Is there a problem with this in the Fethiye area.
We have a shizue ( I know, wrong spelling) but we like to get him trimmed every month .

Hi Jackstee, not if your dogs are easy to clip.  Mine is neurotic about her feet being touched.  The vet on the Gunlukbasi road did her last time and he was quite good. For some reason, she became terrified of going so it will be a slow process to make her relax again.

Hi all - we have a Shih-tzu and taken her to KV for grooming for last 2 years but last time she had cuts on 2 of her paws and one been a problem so I took her to the new vet in Calis (opposite Yapi market) for the treatment and he has been great with her Will try him next time for grooming as I like his doggy manner
If you go to KV think its a good idea to stay and be with your dog as I feel they might have been a bit rough with her in my absence

that's why I stopped going to KV's.  The lady who normally did the clipping has had a baby recently so there is someone else doing it now.

Why not get some dog grooming clippers and do it yourself. I clip my schnauzer and our long shaggy haired Turkish dog. Its easy if you just look at the cut after they have been groomed and they are more trusting when they know who's clipping them.
Cheers

Resurrecting this topic in the hope that someone can recommend a dog 'clipping' (not shaving) service.

We were using the services of a lady from Kas at the Dog Shop in Hisaronu, which has unfortunately now closed, as she did a really good job.

I'm aware that all the vets do cutting but I dont have much confidence in their ability. We dont want our dog shaved at this time of year - just a simple clip to tidy him up is all that's required.

Our clippers are blunt.  Does anyone know of a GOOD place to take the blades for sharpening?

We hadn't had a problem with KV until today. They said they had found something on Chalies leg. It looks like they cut him.

Did try the Vets next to Erin Spots, he did the clipping himself and excused himself , saying he was only an amiture but the cut was great, not to close and sort of highligted.

absolutely best vets for dog clipping is OZGUR vets on Migros road  Taken my shihtzu there now 3 times and he is great. She gets sedated and no problem  I would trust him with her all the time    Sue x
