Why dont you see parsnips in turkey dont they grow there also no swede strange.

Both winter veg Lance so no real call for them. They will only grow them if they can make money and sell them.

The Village Garden at Nif Arpecik has Swedes ready now and Parsnips in Sept/Oct. There has been a thread on here recently which will give their web page.

I'm attenpting to grow swede myself, planted the seeds a couple of weeks ago and they seem OK at the mo. Have been told you can grow parsnips but bit erratic and nobbly (still taste good though) Kayakoyoldboy (?)is the one to ask, very knowledgable!
