Just sitting at Caretta Appartments watching the lightening over the hills. 20 elephants between lightening and thunder at the moment. First time in 7 years that we have seen rain in Calis.

Yep, wash all the sand into the new drains, then dig up the road to clear them :-)

I suppose it is unusual for it to rain in July, but not in May or June in Calis and Fethiye...however.....
Sun cracking the flags in Kirkcaldy today, so swelteringly hot. It's been the same all week.

m495's post made me smile because I could have written that in May "just sitting at Caretta Apartments watching the lightening over the hills...." :D It did however turn very hot and sunny after a few days just like it is here in West Yorkshire now - and no sign of rain yet!

No, we just stay at home for the rain then!! ;)

We had two massive storms (with plenty of rain) last October in Calis in the space of 6 days, quite enjoyed them, it was quite spectacular and didn't last very long on either occasion,

That's the best thing about the storms there, same in May, we had a few huge thunderstorms first few days we were there but a few hours later it was as if nothing had happened!
