Title: Pop Quiz - Lyrics
Post by: usedbustickets on July 24, 2014, 11:57:46 AM
Aint done one of these for a while, so why not do one again.  Listed below are the lyrics of some excellent songs, name the Song and Artiste/s, and an extra point in lyric 8 for the film in which the song featured in.  Here's a big clue for all of them, they are all before 1980!!

1- Shall I tell you about my life

2- I aint got no money honey

3 - Like a one eyed cat, peeking in the seafood store

4 - Way out in space together

5 - My bloods so bad, it feels like its coagulating

6 - The more I work the faster my money goes

7 - Just like a paperback novel, the kind drugstores sells

8 - I'm going where the sun keeps shining, through the pouring rain

9 - Since you went away, I've been losing my sleep at night

10 - I would take the stars out of the sky for you

Good luck    ;) ;D ;D ;D

No one has taken a stab at 3 and 6, but you'll kick yourselves when you find the answer out.  4 might be a stretch but it is, IMHO, a classic, I'll give you a clue, it was the theme music for an early sixties TV show. Clue for nine  they also had a hit in a rainbow valley.

I'll give the answers tomorrow.  ;)

No.3 Shake Rattle and Roll..Bill Hailey and the Comets I think...remember singing along to this and other similar records of my parents when I was a little girl. Used to belt out the song whether I knew the lyrics or not or just sang something that sounded like what I thought it said. Still im sure what I made up couldnt have been any stranger than the actual lyrics!

I wake this morning to find that nine out of ten of the songs have been cracked, but no one has come up with an answer, or even a suggestion, to number four...even with the benefit of a clue.  So here is another a space adventure with strings attached.....come on you must get it now.

Will post the full answers later today, when hopefully we have an answer, or an attempt at an answer to four!!

You shouldn't just "take it" the way you decide and start returning the ill feeling. Knowing KKOB as I fdo, I am sure from that list he was offering 'sex on text'!
