They haven't every colour in the xxxl and xxxxl but they do have them in certain colours if your not too fussy about colour.

You right Chris they are available in my size. I was looking at ALL rather than by size. So I have ordered 7 shirts, with postage it is £24.99, very nice indeed!!.
It looks like they have long sleeve available too for £4.

Remember the days when we used to buy our Pierre Cardin shirts in Turkey :D

I'm still wearing a couple of Ben Sherwins.
-
Must look well smart with your Rowlex
-
Ben Sherwins is right for the mode a la Turkey, but I can remember buying my first proper Ben Sherman, circa 1969, it cost as I recall 69/6d (£3.47and half pee in new money) that was over three weeks paper round money, good job I could earn some extra golf caddying. It matched my Levi jeans just perfect, wot a proper geezer I was becoming, and yes I did get in the bath with the Levis on to shrink them to the correct size.... ah the follies of yoof ;)

Iv'e just been in my local Sports Direct store and they've got thousands of
the shirts on display, £4 each. They look really good and well finished.

Yep, me too. Although we always wore Lee Riders with our Ben Shermans, together with black Harrington jackets and 18-hole DMs for "day wear". In the evenings it was Brutus shirts, Sta Prest trousers, a Crombie and DMs. If it was a more formal do, then it was a white Ben Sherman, a black Tonic suit with scarlet lining and black Silver Stud brogues. I distinctly remember that the Silver Studs were £85 a pair at a time when my Dad was bringing home £48 for a 60 hour week.
I can remember going into a shop in Maidstone, where there was a fella called Dale who was as bent as a nine bob note and he insisted that he had to measure my inside leg,,,,, for a shirt.

I have no idea what you are talking about KKOB. You sound like the sort of chap who would buy a £171 bag back in those days.

Back in those days I knew someone who could get me that sort of thing for a tenner. ;)

And you probably never will Colwyn. :)

I suspect Dale had designs of his own, perhaps he was a nine bob note collector, with a curvature.

My outfitter by appointment for the above was Sids Boutique at the local market... Quality clobber ;D

Zissmans or Chetwyns or Burtons & there was a shop round the corner from Ozzie Osbournes house
called Davis's that used to import fantastic Italian gear and flog it cheap.Trousers with leather piping
on all the seams. We were the dogs testicles. 8)

I wish I had never heard of Sports Direct.
I ordered three shirts which were delivered and my credit card had £9 plus £3,99 p&p deducted. They were the wrong size so I returned them and asked for one size larger. I then received two emails. The first said there were no appropriate replacements and so I would not be charged. The second said that the (non-existent) replacements had been despatched. Two weeks later I realized that I hadn't had a refund. Since then I have in time-consuming lackadaisical correspondence with them pointing out that I have no shirts and no refund. First they told me that that the refund would take 5 days to clear my credit card account. So I replied that it had already been 19 days. Today I got his gem:
We don't take the payment what happens is your bank holds these funds so you will need to contact them, regarding this as we don't take payment until we send it out and only charge for goods you receive.Sorry for any inconvenience caused.Kind regards, ........................
Customer Services
I am torn between beating the rotters and saying "How much effort do I want to put into this to get £9 back?". I see on Channel 4 tonight there is a programme on the secrets of Sports Direct's success. I think I have a clue what some of these might be.
-
Go to their Facebook Page and complain. I always find that a complaint on a F.B. page will stir the supplier into action.
-
Tonight's programme on Channel 4 is a real eye opener, a diabolical company.
The sad thing is it will make no difference, the owner is so wealthy and thick skinned
he can and probably will just ignore it.
-
After an exchange of emails (each one from customer services arriving within half an hour of an anonymous phantom one contradicting the first) I finally got my refund on the three shirts earlier this week.
-
I have unsubscribed from Sports Direct now and would not buy from them again after we watched the programme about the owner and the way he treats his staff
-
And the Geordie fans, was it him who said fans were knobheads to pay £45.00 for team shirts that cost the club about a fiver to make ?
