These little fellows are in hibernation all winter. They are now out and about here in the mountains indicating spring is on its way...ski season coming to an end, and not long until I'm back in beautiful Calis

If Lorraine is French, then she does very well writing in English.  So she can be forgive and perhaps this is the name for these animals in France.
