Just a note to say if anyone has an appointment in Muğla next week for residency or similar, it will be cancelled as the public buildings will now be closed from Monday for the extended bayram break.
Friends of ours - a couple - were due to go up for their first application interview on Monday but I had seen something about the week-long closure online and advised them to contact Yakup, who is helping them.
He has confirmed that their appointments are indeed cancelled.....Turkish organisation (something of an oxymoron, I know!! ;D ) being what it is, Muğla has rescheduled their appointments three days apart....with a 3-4 hour round-trip facing them each time, they are now trying to get them on the same day at least, even if they are several hours apart, rather than face two treks up there!
