I've just battled with Travel Republic after they tried to move me from the Golden Moon (apparently it's being refurbished & won't be finished in time for next week) to the Kerim which I obviously point blank refused! I tried to blag the Delta but they wanted more in excess payment than i paid in the 1st place ;) so we settled on the Area Hotel. Immediately emailed Ramazan to request a specific room which he confirmed within 24 hours, let's hope the weather is good enough to sit & watch the sunsets from the 1905!
I'll update this post with some info once arrived & settled, never stayed at the Area before but know a few folk who have & afaik it's simple but clean which suits me just fine!

Stayed at the Golden Moon last year while property searching. Lovely hotel and Management. They were renovating a few roooms then on the ground floor. On returning home I saw it advertised for sale. I'm wondering if it has new owners. Mete was owner last year.

Sorry about that Mark I did try to catch you on 30th of april but some workes became late Which I couldnt .But GOLDEN MOON HOTEL will be open and ready on 4th of may for you all.
