I read businesses and Banks may close half day today Monday 4th.   Apparently the holiday will last until the 7th July.

Jacqui is correct, most banks shut at midday today and will reopen on Friday. I am not sure about government banks such as Ziraat, but banks such as Garanti, Finans etc will be open on Friday, all day.
