Yesterday a Coordinated Government action across Turkey targeted short term rental properties that should be registered with the authorities. Over 10,000 properties were visited in one day and fines of 2,183,618 TL in fines handed out. Not to mention the poor holidaymakers who would often have been removed from the properties.
