Title: The Wedding
Post by: badger on May 11, 2018, 13:18:22 PM
Which members are getting excited about the royal wedding next week?
I hope it lasts as I like Harry and hope he has made the right choice in MM.
I will watch the service but have to admit to being more excited about the cup-final     ;)

Like Live-aid and the Olympics we will show the yanks how to put on a show  8)

I reckon Harry is a very nice, kind and caring young man and an excellent Ambassador for

the UK. MM seems like a lovely, caring young lady, and has a record of being involved in

causes to help others since she was 11 years old so I think they will make a good match.

I'm disgusted but not surprised at the way the Media are playing the race card citing the

public interest angle in order to justify their bile and hateful coverage.

Looking forward to the ceremony and splendor, which the UK have got nailed.

What Cup Final is that badger.??

Me too. We all think we would like their lives, but would we, every visit out of the prison walls, looking immaculate, not putting a foot wrong. I know I would be letting the firm down very quickly!  :D :D :D

I like both of them and wish them well but for me that's it.  Couldn't be bothered watching it for hours.  It would do my head in if I'm honest

Same, they seem like nice people but I have no interest in royal nonsense

I couldn’t give two hoots!  We shall be out for the day, avoiding television!  Can’t stand all the fawning and speculation.  I don’t equate love of the Windsors with patriotism.

I like Meghan, and hope the marriage lasts but have my doubts.   Went off the Royal family after the dreadful way they treated Diana.   Will probably watch the wedding though - just feel the Royals are such a cold bunch.

With the chaos that seems to be going on with Thomas Markle it is going to be quite an uncertain situation.I am going to be having a look at the wedding through the day if I am not doing anything else.I do hope that Meghans dress is lovely and the weather is good. The first royal wedding I watched was Princess Margaret .My mother worked for Norman Hartnell and sewed a lot of the crystals on to the Queens wedding dress before I was born a few years later.I love to see so many people having a good time around London on occasions like this.I am quite aware it is elitist but still enjoy the day.

So Markle comes from a dysfunctional family. She'll fit in well with the Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg lot.

No interest in it at all. Will be on my way to Featherstone to watch the Leigh Centurions give them a good hiding at Rugby League. Far more entertaining.

Here is the Radio News. Russia has invaded Poland ... North Korea has landed an astronaut on the moon ... a living Tyrannosaurus Rex has been found in Greenland ... but now back to the main story for the next couple of hours - the Royal Wedding.

The style of preaching by the Episcopal preacher certainly highlights the cultural innovation coming to the royal family from across the pond!
Love the dress by Givenchy and Meghans mother looks lovely.

Good to know that you are happy to subsidise the nuptials of one of the richest families in the UK.

I wonder if the wedding brought any money into the country? The fashion designers certainly had a good time to show their creations. Stella McCartney on Serena Williams, Vivienne Westwood on Priyanka Chopra, Victoria Beckham on who else but Victoria Beckham.

Well I was very disappointed

It's just not a proper wedding with neither of the happy couples fathers in attendance

More than happy to spend the third of a pint on that. The money it will bring to the UK will be phenomenal.

As a Brit I was very proud to watch it and I know my friends, living all over the world, thought it was amazing.

Each to their own though.

Would it be a case of "My dad can beat up your dad"?
