Apparently Polish workers who come to Britain to work can claim child benefit in the UK for children they have left behind in Poland! This is a benefit to which they are not automatically entitled in Poland! This is not a Pole bashing thread,they didn't make the rules but I am angry and astounded that yet again the British taxpayer is shelling out to the tune of an estimated £45million a year - and that is a conservative guess, to people who have not contributed to the system. Why do I go to work? I have worked all my adult life, starting work on the Monday after the Friday that I walked out of the school gates for the last time, and yet I can't get an NHS dentist.No wonder people who have worked hard and paid their dues are leaving this country in droves.
