Our son is just in the process of buying his first house in the U.K. They are struggling to find something in their price range but came up with one across the street from where Barrie and I started our married life 34 years ago. A back to back house. I said to him has it got an outside toilet. Him and his girlfriend nearly fell off the sofa laughing. They thought I was making it up. The asking price of this house is £95.000 my turn to nearly fall over (with shock). We paid £800. 2 up 2 down and outside loo. We thought at the time that it was perfect even though we had to go to our parents for a bath!! I feel old all of a sudden at 52!!!! He has found a house now. A bargain at £100.000 (inside bathroom and everything) LOL.
