We can now tell everyone that Mrs Smudge is 5 months pregnant and its going to be a girl.
Its been a long and hard 5 months as a blood test in the first month of pregnancy showed she had a Toxoplasma infection, I wont go into details but it can be very serious for the baby at that stage and we were warned that a termination would be best if the infection passed to the baby (google for all the gory details)
After having to wait until 16 weeks for an amniocentesis to check the baby for infection then another 20 days for the result we have been given the all clear, so can now start celebrating the pregnancy.
Thanks for all the support from our friends who knew about this and our doctor and the staff at Esnaf who have been great also thanks to Antalya Hospital which is a real nightmare but they played their part in the happy conclusion.
