Cali Beach, beach

I thought that one of the main things that lets Calis down is the beach.
Firstly, I would describe the beach as stone, not shingle.
Also, when you rent the sun beds, there are no mattresses. You need to find a bar that has some and they will let you borrow them.We got ours from the Cafe Soul. When you actually go into the sea, be very careful
as the rocks are very slippery and it is east to slip.
The beach just seems generally scruffy and in need of a bit of TLC.
We could all help by putting our rubbish in the bins.
Does anyone else agree?

Mike

Mike, it is a very long beach and the cover varies, never a sandy beach as we know it in the UK, but acceptable in many places and not too sore on the feet. Lots more to Calis than the beach. What are the other main things you think let Calis down?

We have just returned after 2 weeks in Calis We loved the beach, we went to the non tourist end and layed on our beach mats which were more then comfy, the waves in the sea were brilliant fun, also tryed out the massage man and had a lovely massage for 20 ytl.

try your haggle skills in Fethiye Paspatur old baths. got the last one down to 20tl.

The beach ones I personally would not bother with, if I did it would be 5TL,  There is a woman also walks around offering same service, she does have a bag of different oils and I have heard people haggle and have the service for 5tl.

I prefer the whole pamper bit, so next time I am going for the pamper day, yet to inform Gordon ;)

I think its pretty much a given by most on here that the Calis beach itself isn't the best but could be so much better. I had to avoid a floating nappy just last week. There are better beaches just up the road from Calis. We discovered a cracking little beach called Kataranca which is just a Dolmus ride away from Calis. Its 2.5 lira entrence fee and well worth it.
