Nice to see that the San Diego news website picked up on the quake, however the BBC didn't. I'm sure that if a Brit would have stubbed his/her toe during the quake, it would have been reported.

So how many rushed out into the streets in a panic and how many jumped into their cars and rushed out of Fethiye[?] As reported in the Turkish Daily News and the Fethiye Times. Utter nonsense.....you would not have even got to your front door before it was all over. Reporting like this certainly does no favours to local tourism:-\

BBC reported this morning a tremor in San Francisco.  It was 5.4 which is about the same as our one but we didnt get coverage.......unusual for  the BBC not to feature our earthquake....they usually pounce on anything even slightly negative about Turkey !

Probably best it was not covered by the BBC as no one was injured and no serious damage done. Such reports might put people off going to Turkey and get sensationalised.
