Thanks To all you who came and made it such a great party at Cafe Soul. So nice to see all the Turkish and English enjoying themselves together. I was able to give the Starfish Children's Charity via the FIG office £180 of donations in lieu of birthday presents.
A big thank you to Cafe Soul staff especially Sinasi who helped organise everything even though he no longer works there. The turkish live music was first class as was all the entertainment. The cake will long be remembered, for those who weren't there something got lost in translation, instead of two birthday cakes for my son and I we had a two tier wedding cake. But it only added to the festivities. For all those strangers passing by who may have got the wrong idea it was really a special birthday party for my son and I who share the same birthday. A party to be remembered and talked about for a long time yet.

Hazel, it was a pleasure to help you both celebrate your special day. It was good to see a good Turkish drummer as part of a group rather than a 'wake up' call!. Everything was first class.

Yes Puma the cake was fantastic. Note the names on the side- Nesrin and Dogan(ex Falcon from Orient Exp) because it was also their wedding anniversary, and the other side Mehmet (Orient Ex) as was also his birthday. Marcus was spelled Markoz. See the wedding couple on the top! The cake was delicious strawberries and raspberries with sponge and cream. Birthday candles and sparklers to top it off. A cake for all occasions, cafe soul did us proud, but don't know who they got to make it.
